Why #UnfinishedBusiness?
It became the players’ motto after their first round exit in the 2016 Clark Cup Playoffs. The motto captures Lincoln’s blue-collar attitude and drive to bring home the Clark Cup.
What does #UnfinishedBusiness mean?
“We had a lot of success last year throughout the regular season, but that doesn’t get you a championship. We were set on bringing the Clark Cup back to Lincoln and we came up short. This year we are here to finish the job.” – Dylan Woolf
“#UnfinishedBusiness to me means not being content with what you have accomplished. You have to keep pushing for more and stay hungry.” – Dominick Mersch
“#UnfinishedBusiness to me just means that we let something slip away and we’re coming back to take it with harder work and by proving ourselves day in and day out.” – Mike Gillespie
“We only got a taste of the playoffs last year. This year we have to work until we raise the Clark Cup.” – Christian Evers
What happened to #StarsNation?
Nothing happened to #StarsNation, we just wanted a motto more aligned with our goals. For game updates, we’ll be using the hashtag #GBB, another player-made motto meaning “Go Big Blue.” (The Huskers almost had it right!)
Can’t wait to get back with the boys at @LincolnStars camp this week. Been a long summer without them. #GBB
